Makes 1 cocktail.
1/2 oz Patrón Silver Tequila
1/2 oz Patrón Citrónge Orange Liqueur
Fresh raspberry juice
Dash organic cranberry juice
Fresh lime juice
Gold sugar rim
Orange wedge dipped in gold sugar for garnish
Splash of grenadine
- Wet the rim of a cocktail glass using an orange or lime wedge.
- Rim with gold sugar, shake off excess sugar and set aside.
- Pour the liquid ingredients — minus the grenadine — into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake well.
- Strain into the prepared cocktail glass.
- Add a splash of grenadine.
- Garnish with an orange wedge dipped in gold sugar.
Gran Tangria
From Monika Chiang and Gran Centenario
1 1/2 cups Gran Centenario Reposado (tequila)
1/2 Cup Brandy
2 oz Grand Marnier
2 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
2 oz Fresh Lime Juice
15 cloves
Slices of 1 apple, mango, orange and lemon
Let stand overnight, and then add:
1 cup fresh apple juice
1/2 cup pomegranate juice (fresh if possible)
1/2 cup pineapple juice (fresh if possible)
Splash of Club Soda
When serving, add a splash of club soda to each drink in a Collins glass over ice.
Serves 8-10 people.
Frozen Blood Orange Margarita

1/2 cup fresh blood orange juice
2 tbsp lemon juice
3 cups ice
1 cup Triple Sec
1 cup white tequila
4 frozen margarita glasses
Combine the blood orange juice, lemon juice, Triple Sec, and ice in a blender and puree until completely blended. Add the tequila and puree for 2 seconds more.- Alternatively, combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker, shake hard to form ice crystals.
- Pour or strain into a prepared frozen margarita glasses or glasses filled with ice and serve.
Makes 4 drinks.
